Neobulle organic cough balm
Most of the year, our climate favors upper respiratory diseases. The peak of their occurrence is from autumn to spring, and mostly viral infections are to blame. Upper respiratory diseases, the main symptoms of which are cough, runny nose and fever, occur mainly in children of kindergarten age. Since viruses are mostly spread by droplets and dirty hands, avoid contact with sick people, crowded places and wash your hands as much as possible. A child with an upper respiratory tract virus may have a fever, a blocked nose, or discharge from the nose. The secretion can also spill into the throat, which causes throat irritation and causes the child to cough. The child may have a cough, which causes difficulties in daily tasks and sleeping. Also, children may be quieter and want more attention and closeness.
Unfortunately, there is usually no specific treatment for upper viral diseases, and the child can only be helped by alleviating the symptoms and improving their well-being.
The main symptoms of upper respiratory viruses are cough, runny nose and fever.
Paracetamol, calculated at 15mg/kg, and Ibuprofen, calculated at 10mg/kg, are suitable for a child against fever. Fever is a protective reaction of the body, which helps expel the virus from the body, therefore a fever of less than 38 degrees does not need to be lowered if the child feels well.
Rinsing and removing secretions are the most effective against colds. Rinse the child's nose with a sea salt solution and ask the child to sniff the nose as often as possible. If the child does not yet know how to smell, use a nasal pump or an aspirator. Inhalation, certainly with cool steam, is also suitable for opening the nose and removing secretions more easily.
Make sure the child gets as much fluid as possible. Always offer the child water, tea or juice.
Changing positions and a slightly higher headrest also help to make breathing easier. Before going to bed, ventilate the room properly.
Breast balms and breast oils help relieve the cough. Expectorants should be given to children with caution
